Monthly Developmental Calendars

  • January - February - March - AprilJuly - August September - October November - December
  • The pre-team/Developmental program at Twisters gymnastics is by invitation only. The coaches of the after school gymnastics classes will approach you and your child to invite your gymnast to sign up for a developmental program. On our schedules we have developmental gymnastics for Level 2 and 3 and Developmental gymnastics for training Level 4, we will place your child in one of these two groups.

Pre-team gymnasts attend pre-team class twice a week. They learn and practice routines and compete in in-house events. All gymnasts are taught coordination and technique.

If you have any questions about our pre-team program please contact Carmella Solito at
In house meets will be run just like a real meet, but we try to eliminate the stresses of competition in several ways:

  • We have a coach at each event, doing the routines right with the gymnasts, so if they forget what to do next, the coach can remind them.
  • The gymnast can choose which events they would like to compete in. They can choose one, two, three or four events: Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor. For girls Ring, floor, vault, High bar, P- bars, pommel
  • The coaches will spot the gymnasts for any skill that they need a spot on. This way, they have no need to worry if there is a skill they are not able to do yet.
  • It gives your child a chance to get out in front of people and perform. Invite their aunts, uncles, grandparents and siblings to come see them!
  • Every child gets a trophy for each event that they compete in. They get different ribbons depending on their scores.
  • This is a great way to boost your child's confidence. Every child succeeds. There are different levels, starting with the most basic to teach them about proper form.
